Mental Health at Work

Website: http://www.mhatwork.com.au

Mental health at work (mh@work®) is an international organisation aimed at improving the wellbeing and productivity of people and workplaces. By partnering with business, we mentor workplaces to create mentally healthy, resilient and supportive workplaces through an innovative range of educational tools and services.
ConNetica is delighted to have a strategic partnership with mh@work.

Mh@work specialise in the tailored design and provision of workplace mental health and well being education programs. These programs are easy to understand, provide information and advice on the most prevalent mental health disorders and how these manifest in the work environment and how work environments can be preventative and provide early interventions. The programs enhance personal and team wellness through resilience strategies and learning skills to manage stress and mental unwellness in the workplace.

All program materials, facilitators and consultants all share the voice of the lived experience as an underlying philosophy, role modelling the importance of recovery and peer support. All materials also incorporate the latest research and advice from Australia's leading academics, clinicians and service providers. The programs are highly interactive, built around adult learning principles, and include case studies, role-plays and opportunities for self and team reflection in an effort to replace fear with confidence and skills.

ConNetica regularly liaises with the mh@work team to discuss the design of a range of health and well being workplace initiatives and to jointly facilitate workplace-training programs. Recently, ConNetica conducted a qualitative and quantitative evaluation of the workplace health and well-being program that mh@work conducted at NAB. The evaluation provided the evidence to show that the program was well received by staff and did enhance the management of health and well being issues in the workplace.
