Ross Craze
Senior Consultant
Ross’s expertise lies in the design of complex financial management and reporting data systems for large companies as well as the design of user-friendly, spreadsheets and data-bases to meet the information needs of for community agencies, both big and small.
Ross is a Certified Practicing Accountant, having been an associate member of CPA Australia since November 1984. He was recently awarded full membership of CPA Australian in December 2010. Ross and holds a Bachelor of Business (University of Technology Sydney - Kuringai).
Ross has been a Director of Craze Lateral Solutions since 1990 and has been collaborating with ConNetica since December 2010. As a Director of Craze Lateral Solutions, Ross has provided the IT, financial management and project management expertise needed by each of the ninety plus contracts won by the company to date.
The consultancy services of Ross have been engaged by a range of community organisations, government departments and private companies including:
- Richmond Fellowship ACT – website development and project management software
- AMCOR Fibre Packaging Australia – data gathering and management reporting nationally
- Department of Administrative Services – implementation of a new information system, training and oversight of a help facility during implementation
- EMAIL - data gathering and management reporting nationally
- Australian Tourism Commission - implementation of a new information system training and oversight of a help facility during implementation
- NSW Department of Education – design and implementation of new information systems in the Queanbeyan Area Office.
Ross has also built information systems to support the analysis of academic-based research with an example being user friendly, Excel-based databases for the Child and Youth Policy and Research Unit, Social Policy University of Western Sydney, University of Western Sydney that enabled the academics to analyse considerable amounts of qualitative data. Importantly, the user friendly nature of these databases empowered the academics to control and conduct the data analysis for themselves rather than having to rely on and wait for assistance from an ‘expert’.

In each of these positions, as well as with his company’s contract, Ross’ ability to think outside the square and to build information systems that are tailored to the needs of the situation, the problems at hand and the people involved have been noted and highly regarded.
